Mobile Internet access drives socio-economic development in Africa, facilitating business and providing access to health, educational and government services. Operators though are trapped between falling revenues and rising costs as competition grows. Operators look to new technologies that reduce network and services costs - smart cells, solar power, software-defined networks among others to survive....
